TikTok has introduced a hidden emoji game that users can access directly in their DMs. The objective is to bounce as high as possible by hopping across alligators while avoiding skeleton alligators and broken ones that disappear after one landing. Landing on floating emojis or alligators with propellers gives a speed boost. The game ends if you miss an alligator or land on a skeleton, with scores displayed for both you and your opponent.
The game is available globally in one-on-one DMs and group chats. To play, send a single emoji in any chat and tap it to start. The chosen emoji floats across the screen to provide boosts during the game.
TikTok says the game adds a playful, competitive element to messaging, similar to Instagram’s hidden DM game, which launched two years ago. Other platforms are exploring similar concepts, with Meta testing a virtual basketball game in Threads chats.
