Don Jazzy Offers Nigerians Free Tech Training Worth ₦447,000

Nigerian music producer and Mavin Records founder, Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy, has partnered with technology training provider TS Academy to offer Nigerians scholarships worth up to ₦447,000 for technology and digital skills training.

The initiative, tagged the Don Jazzy Tech Scholarship 2027, offers successful applicants tuition support of up to 100 per cent, alongside discounted application fees and additional learning support for selected beneficiaries.

According to details published by TS Academy, the programme covers courses in artificial intelligence and automation, cybersecurity, software development, data analytics, data science, digital marketing, product design, content creation, virtual assistance, project management and DevOps engineering.

Other available options include frontend and backend development, product management and graphic design.

Most of the courses are designed to accommodate beginners, meaning applicants do not necessarily need previous experience in technology to participate.

Beyond tuition support, the scholarship programme also plans to provide 50 free laptops and internet data assistance to as many as 500 selected beneficiaries.

Participants will also have access to practical training, live classes, experienced tutors, mentorship and a learning community.

The programme further advertises internship opportunities and job placement support to help beneficiaries pursue careers in the technology industry.

However, the additional benefits are subject to selection and are not automatically guaranteed to every scholarship recipient.

Don Jazzy announced the initiative in a video shared on social media on October 26, encouraging young Nigerians to invest in education and acquire skills that could improve their career prospects.

The scholarship does not completely eliminate all costs, as successful applicants are still required to pay an application fee, although at a discounted rate. The exact amount payable has not been publicly specified.

The dedicated scholarship application page lists December 30, 2026, as the closing date.

Interested Nigerians can visit donjazzy.tsacademyonline.com to review the available courses and application requirements.

The initiative comes as demand for digital and technology skills continues to grow, with training costs remaining a major barrier for many young Nigerians seeking opportunities in the technology industry.
